The United States would do well in doing what they do in Europe. They do not charge tuition in the universities. Student debt is unknown.
Integral to a world-wide poverty abolition program would be providing a computer with an Internet connection for every household everywhere.
The pre-Civil War was not tough only for black people. There was little upward mobility for poor whites which was just about everybody. In the pre-war South, there were no public schools. None.
Money should no longer an obstacle for anyone who wants to be a doctor, master mechanic or anything else.
