Terry and I visited during the summer in 1959 and 1961. There were several memorable events at the VFW Hall in Novelty, Friday night at the Auction Barn and Sunday Mass at St. Joseph’s.
If there were a Red Holman fan club, Terry and I would have joined.
The Google Map photos are treasures. I include a few here. There are some surprises. I like the Edina Methodist Church that I never noticed before.
In September, 2020, I started an electronic subscription to the Edina Sentinel. I like the Old Time News by Emily Rumble, historical notes from Bill Lewis and current day reflections from Marilyn Goodwin.
In the 2020, 80% voted for DT, making me realize that I will relate with only a few people on global warming or Pentagon budget cuts.
Since I am 78 years old, I have a feeling that this may be my last visit. Who knows when the next pandemic will hit or if I am too infirmed to travel.
Silvia and I hope to see everybody in October, the most pleasant month in the year.
