This 59 minute presentation convinced me that things are far worse than I thought. According to one individual in the video, there will be a 100 feet rise in ocean levels, even if carbon emissions were to stop on a dime and all the environment projects like saving the Amazon rainforest would start.
When George W Bush was president, I learned much from my right-wing friends. If you want the Sun, the Moon, the stars and half the planet, ask for them. Keep your demands short. I could understand what they wanted in 10 seconds, like, privatize Social Security.
Here are my demands:
Reduce the bloated defense budget by 50%.
Keep 1,000 nuclear weapons. Decommission the rest.
Impose a 100% tax on all income over 10,000,000 USD.
Impose a sales tax on the world’s defense budgets. (If you have money to kill some people, you have money to help others.)
Start a Second Marshall Plan to abolish poverty and fund environmental projects everywhere.
We shall overcome.
