Hats off to the people in Minnesota. When I think about bravery, I remember soldiers at the Alamo, Guadalcanal and Stalingrad.
Other times I remember the civil rights workers in the US, the refuseniks and people in the Pan African Movement. From now on, the people in Minnesota will belong in this club.
People who are concerned about the immigrants should call for a Second Marshall Plan to end poverty everywhere and reverse global warming.
The fact is that the US economy depends on people working for low wages in the agricultural sector, nursing homes and construction sites.
DT’s concentration camps are here for everybody, Democratic congressmen, reporters and protestors.
ICE agents can kill anybody they want anytime they want with total impunity. They would not think two seconds about arresting you or me and sending us to Honduras or somewhere else.
The good news is that the press is free, the courts have usually done the right thing and there is resistance like in Minnesota.
Sincerely,
Ed
