Dad liked covered bridges. Maybe he saw this one. On Missouri Highway 36 after you have left Livingston County going Knox County, you will find the Locust Creel Park. The official web site gives instructions that are as clear as mud.
My recommendation is to look for the location on the DeLORME Atlas.

The recent situation is that the bridge is sitting in a pasture because the river changed course years ago. Not a picturesque place anymore.
