When we had a family reunion in October, 2019 at Browne’s in Kansas City, I paid for the meal and told those gathered that the neighborhood is important to our family. Mother lived 400 years to the restaurant’s west. My parents got married at Redemptorist Church, 400 yards to the restaurant’s east.
I told them that Memorial Day is a special day to remember our dead soldiers. Today and November 1, All Saints Day, we remember everybody, especially those who have passed away in recent years. I listed about 10 names.
Tomorrow I will send out the message below.
When the pandemic ends, I want to gather again at Browne’s. You are invited.
